We all go above and beyond to help every resident. And Caring Homes goes above and beyond to help us develop personally and professionally.
Development
Learning & development is one of primary drivers of our collective performance. We see so many of our colleagues move up in the Caring Homes world thanks to our focused efforts on helping them make the most of their talents and learn new ones all the time.
From day one you will be given a comprehensive induction pack and schedule which helps everyone, at every level, to get up to speed as quickly and safely as possible. And our Buddy Scheme and clinical/support mentoring enables new colleagues to flourish.
Our ethos is to coach, develop and grow our people, ensuring they can reach their full potential. And throughout your career with us, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills through our bespoke learning and development programmes, which include national, local and regional-level learning and development, in many cases providing you with nationally recognised qualifications.
We have been recognised nationally for our commitment to training and skills development by HRH The Princess Royal. The Princess Royal Training Awards in their inaugural year reviewed our ‘My World’ Dementia training programme. This is City & Guilds accredited and provides a three-stage practical approach to communication and building relationships, using ‘Person Centred’ approaches with meaningful activities, through to full training on day-to-day support in the advanced stages of the condition.
So, whether you are brand new to care, or if you have many years’ experience, we have a huge range of courses and development programmes to help you get better in everything you do.
